Biography

Andre Greyling has been active in the IT Industry since 1976 and specifically in the Health IT Industry since 1984. Working in the Public Sector, he successfully implemented a suit of applications in all the public hospitals in Queensland, Australia, the first state to achieve it. As the first Chief Information Officer for the South Australian Health Commission, he implemented the Info2000 Strategy replacing a large number of disparate in-house developed applications with packaged software enterprise-wide and the entire IT technical infrastructure was outsourced to EDS. Working in the Private Sector, he managed for IBM, the Health Department of Western Australia as a key customer and subsequently the Australia-wide healthcare software and services operations of Baxter Healthcare and CSC Healthcare. Andre also managed the international operations for the US based Per-Se Technologies when their Patient 1 Computerized Patient Record System was successfully introduced into the Middle East, the UK and Brazil. Andre is now the Chief Information Officer for the Hospital Authority in Hong Kong.
