Dr Leung is currently the Executive Advisor of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), Hong Kong and Macau. Prior to this role, Dr Leung was the Managing Director of HPE responsible for overseeing the company’s business strategy and operations in these markets. He was the General Manager of EMC Corporation, Hong Kong and Macau for 17 years; and prior to joining EMC, he was the General Manager of Sun Microsystems, Hong Kong and Macau.

With extensive experience in the ICT industry, Dr Leung is keen on driving the development of the local ICT industry as well as coaching and nurturing local IT talent. He was born in Hong Kong and was graduated at the University of Birmingham, UK. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering. He obtained his Doctor of Business Administration degree from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He was also conferred as Fellow of the Hong Kong Computer Society.

Dr Gabriel Leung actively serves the industry and the community at large. He currently holds the following related appointments / positions:

  • Member of Innovation and Technology Fund, Research Project Assessment Panel – Government of the HKSAR (2019 – present)
  • Member of Hong Kong Retail Management Association Digital Advisory Panel (2020 – present)
