Ms Susanna Shuk-ching Shen joined The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Towngas) in 1988 and has held various management positions. In 1995, as a Project Manager in the China Business Development department, she undertook and completed her first IT project in mainland China. Between 1996–99, Susanna played a key role in implementing a corporate-wide business process re-engineering programme. In December 1999, she was appointed Chief Operating Officer of iCare.com Limited, jointly owned by Towngas and Henderson Investment. In January 2005, Susanna was appointed Head of Information Technology in Towngas. The IT team under Susanna’s leadership is responsible for providing information and communication technology support and IT business solutions for Towngas, its subsidiaries and China businesses.

Susanna graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Computing Studies and gained a Master of Business Administration (Executive) from the City University of Hong Kong in 2004. She also holds the position of Director, International/China Affairs for the Hong Kong Computer Society.
