Ir Dr Sze has over 25 years IT-related experience in various capacities. He is the founder and Principal Consultant of a consultancy firm, Systems Integrators (Asia) Ltd. since 1990 and provides consultancy services to prestige clients in Hong Kong, Macau, China and Singapore. His clients list includes Hong Kong Jockey Club, HSBC, PCCW, MTRC, Housing Authority, Immigration Department, etc. The nature of his consultancy services includes IT operation assessment and audit, technical feasibility study, data centre audit, quality assurance and project management.

He developed the very first online ticketing system in Hong Kong. He possesses knowledge of various development methodologies and has put them into practice. He is a Fellow of Hong Kong Institute of Engineers in Information (INF) discipline.

Prior to starting his own company, Ir Dr George Sze worked as Technical Consultant for Logica in London and upon return to Hong Kong in 1982, he worked for Wang Computers Pacific Ltd. in Hong Kong as Asia Area Technical Manager until 1990.

Ir Dr Sze is currently the Chairman of the executive committee of the Hong Kong Institute of Engineers – IT Division, after servicing as a vice-Chairman for one year. He has been playing a leading role in the planning various activities for the IT Division.

After serving as a Chief Assessor of the Hong ICT Award competition for one year, he is currently the Chairman of the Judging Panel of the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2008 – Best Public Service Applications Award. He has been a member of the Technical Advisory Committee for Robocon competition since 2005. He has helped in organising some local professional conferences and served as session chairs of a number of these conferences.

Ir Dr George Sze is a member of the Departmental Advisory Committee for the Department of Computer Science, City University of Hong Kong. He was also involved in the IT degree accreditation exercise and was an external examiner of PhD thesis, at Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
