On top of the foundational Entry/Exit Processing and Records System for handling millions of movement records, the Deployment Information and Command System provides real time information for effective staff deployment, the Face Recognition System identifies the dubious travellers through application of face recognition technology, the Automated Passenger and Vehicle Clearance System (e-Channel) provides self-service immigration clearance facilities through the application of biometric technology, and the Electronic Check Point System enables pre-checking of arrival passengers by air. Apart from improving the efficiency and effectiveness of immigration control, staff savings have also been achieved.
