products included auxiliary functions like recording,

reminding and scheduling, for example, PocketDoc, the

1st runner-up winner of Concept – Junior Group; Pro-

Active!, 1st runner-up winner of Concept –Senior Group;

and Fat Guy Attack, 2nd runner-up of Practical Group. A

team member from Po Leung Kuk Choi Kai Yau School,

you, and to remind you the time of taking medication.”

The event was attended by Hon. Charles Mok, JP,

Legislative Council member (ITFC), Mr Jason Tung,

Chairperson of HKCS Youth Club, Dr. Fowie Ng, Head of

Health&Applied Sciences Division,School of Continuing

students to explore their potentials. I am grateful to the

organiser and other participating parties for their co-

operation and support.” Mr Ng also said, “IT industry has

to bear social responsibilities now. Just like the theme of

this event, the industry has to promote to the public how

to healthily utilise information technology.” The guests

highly appreciate the students’ innovation, and they

encourage the students to make full use of their creative

minds to contribute to the society. Hon. Mok said to the

students, “Hong Kong needs IT talents. I hope you may

maintain your enthusiasm and interest towards IT, and

will consider start a career in the trade.” Mr Tung also

said, “HKCS will organise different kinds of activities for

youngsters, to support and encourage young people to

express creativity.” Lastly, after all winning parties had

demonstrated their products, the organiser specially

made arrangement for the winning parties of the

Practical Group to demonstrate to the guests how to

use the apps, so as to let the participants know more

about their work. The judges for the competition were

composed by the representatives of the three organisers,

Mr. Herman Lam of Hong Kong Cyberport Management

Company Limited, and also Mr. Jason Chiu, founder and

CEO of Cherrypicks. All judges found that the standards

of the competitors of this year were very high and close

the one another.
