HKCS has around 2,000 female members from across
various specialised areas in the sector. Ms. Cally Chan,
Chairlady of FACE Club as well as Vice President
(Internal Affairs) and Honorary Treasurer of HKCS, said,
“The ICT industry has been dominated by men. Only 20%
of the entire workforce is women. Female contributes to
around 50% of world population. We see an increasing
demand for female professionals following the fast-
growing and more diversified industry development in
recent years. FACE Club builds a platform for exchanging
ideas and mutual support among women. This helps us
learn more about their needs in career development. We
will organise different types of connecting and nurturing
activities, and in this year we will introduce the first-
ever ‘Outstanding ICT Women Awards’ in Hong Kong. We
hope all these activities helps raise the status of our
female professionals as well as increase young women’s
understanding of our industry, to hopefully encourage
them to pursue their careers in the ICT sector.”
Mr. Michael Leung, President of HKCS said, “We are
thrilled by the overwhelming support for FACE Club,
that helps build a coherent community of women in the
workforce. This enables the membership profile of HKCS
getting more diversified and instilled with new energy,
thus fostering innovation and growth of our industry.”

香港電腦學會約有二千名女性會員，來自業界不同
的專業領域。FACE主席兼香港電腦學會副會長（
內務）及名譽司庫陳珊珊女士表示：「全球有一半
人口為女性。然而，資訊及通訊科技界一直由男性
主導，女性從業員的比例大概只有兩成。近年ICT
行業的高速和多元發展對女性專才的需求相應增
加。FACE為業內女性搭建一個相互交流和支持的平
台，加強關注她們在專業發展的需要。今年我們會
舉辦香港首個『傑出資訊及通訊科技女性獎』；未
來，則透過舉辦不同類型的聯繫和培育活動，希望
提升女性專才的地位，以及增加年輕女性對行業的
了解，藉此鼓勵她們選擇在ICT界開展事業。」
香港電腦學會會長梁建文先生表示：「我們很高興
FACE獲得業界的踴躍支持，透過匯聚女性科技專
才，讓會員層面更趨多元化，同時為學會注入新動
力，協助推動業界的創新及發展不斷向前。」
