CPD Hours
The CPD hours refer to the number of hours that a Member
is engaged in the CPD activity. For example, it is two (2) CPD
hours of attending a 2-hour seminar/workshop.
There are a maximum number of CPD hours to be claimed per
day for the CPD activities of Type B. For a half-day activity, it is
three (3) CPD hours maximum. For a full-day activity, it is six (6)
CPD hours maximum.
How to Apply
There are two types of CPD recognition: (1) a “CPD active”
status in the HKCS membership record and (2) a CPD Certificate
issued by the HKCS.
At the beginning of each calendar year, Members will receive
an e-mail invitation to submit their CPD activities in the past
year. Members who have obtained at least 30 CPD hours in
recognised activities and areas will be updated as “CPD active”
on their membership record. All “CPD active” members can
apply for a CPD Certificate with a fee of HK$100.

持續專業發展進修小時
持續專業發展進修小時是以學會會員參與當中活動的時間而
計算，例如參與一個2小時的研討會或工作坊的持續專業發
展進修小時為2。
類別乙的活動中，則有每日最高上限的進修小時計算，例如
一個半日的活動，其計算的持續專業發展進修小時最高上限
為3；而一個全日活動的進修小時最高為6。
申請辦法
此計劃共有兩種持續專業發展的認證方法：（一）學會會員
記錄內的「活躍會員」資格及（二）由香港電腦學會簽發的
持續專業發展證書。
在每年年初，學會會員將會收到一封邀請遞交過去一年參與
持續專業發展活動報告的電郵，那些在認可的活動及領域中
完成最少30個進修小時的會員，其會員記錄將會更新為「活
躍會員」的資格。所有「活躍會員」可申請一張持續專業發
展證書，費用為港幣一百元正。

應用領域技能
資訊科技能應用於生活上每個細節，這個範疇正是為會員
在所屬的應用領域上，例如銀行、物流、保險、市場策劃
及製造業等的培訓給予認可，讓大部份學會會員能利用他
們的資訊科技技能解決種種疑難。
項目管理技能
能有效管理項目及控制預算絕對是晉升至專業階層的必要
條件，所以項目管理及相關技能的培訓也必須獲得認可。
語言及溝通技巧
一位真正的專才應有能力清晰地表達及傳遞訊息，在這培
訓範疇上，可加強會員說話及寫作表達能力及技巧。
軟技能
在專業發展的步伐中，軟技能是當中的重要元素。團隊合
作、磋商技巧、領導能力、道德問題及當一個資訊科技方
案應用時對社會影響的洞察力等都包含在培訓範疇內。
Application field skills
IT is applied to all walks of life and most members
are using their IT skills to solve specific problems. This
category therefore recognises member’s training in his/
her respective application field, like Banking, Logistics,
Insurance, Marketing, Manufacturing etc.
Project management skills
It is absolutely required to manage projects and control
their budget when one climbs up the professional ladder.
Training in project management and the related skills are
recognised.
Language and communication skills
A true professional should be able to convey and report
ideas clearly. Trainings that enhance spoken and written
presentation and reporting skills are recognised in this
category.
Soft skills
It is critical to have soft skills in the professional
development. Training in areas, such as teamwork,
negotiation, leadership, ethical issues and awareness of
the social impacts when an IT solution is applied, is under
this category.
