Special Interest Divisions (SID)
Special Interest Division (SID) is one of the major pillars
of HKCS in shaping the future of IT for Hong Kong. The
mission of our SID is to bridge the business and IT
world together to share knowledge and best practices
of IT technologies so that business values of IT can
be unleashed fully to enterprises, government and the
society of Hong Kong.
Our SID has a number of Special Interest Groups
(SIGs) to cover the emerging IT technologies and
business applications. Many of our SIGs are relatively
new but had gained great momentum last year. More
importantly, our SIGs are proactively and systematically
organising relevant activities in proper formats for the
IT and business communities in Hong Kong. It includes
seminars, expert sharing sessions, discussion forums,
site visits, competitions, blogs and columns on IT and
business media
,etc.Wealso support a number of industry
and academic activities by providing professional and
neutral advices, speakers and various kinds of support.
In addition, our SID had organised regular meetings to
gather the chairpersons of all SIGs and senior executives
from HKCS to share ideas, formulate strategies, set goals
and plan major cross-SIG activities.
In the coming year, all of our SIGs will continue our
mission. We look forward to having your support as
well by joining us. Let us know if you are interested to

專題分部是學會締造香港資訊科技業未來的主要支柱
之一。專題分部的任務，是作為商業社會與資訊科技
世界交流的橋樑，促進知識和資訊科技技術應用的分
享，使資訊科技的商業價值能在企業、政府和香港社
會中充分發揮。
專題分部轄下多個設有多個專題組，範疇涵蓋新興資
訊科技技術和商業應用。不少專題組成立時間相對較
短，已展現出良好的勢頭。更重要的是，各專題組積
極而有系統地以不同的形式，為香港的資訊科技和商
業社會籌辦活動，當中包括座談會、專家分享環節、
論壇、實地考察、比賽，以於資訊科技和商業相關的
媒體上撰寫網誌和專欄等。我們亦向不少行業和學術
活動提供專業及中立的意見、講者，以及其他不同形
式的支持。此外，專題分部亦會定期舉行會議，召集
所有專題組主席和香港電腦學會的理事，讓他們分享
意見、制定策略、訂立目標和計劃重要的跨專題組活
動。
所有專題組會於來年繼續任務。我們期盼你的支持和
