Cloud Computing SIG (CCSIG)
Could Cloud Computing create values to your business?
As non-IT organisations increasingly externalise their
core-competencies systems via Cloud Computing,
Gartner predicted earlier last year that these
corporations would be interjecting themselves into the
value-chained systems in 2015, and directly competing
with those IT Organisations. They further predicted
that about 20% of non-IT global 500 enterprises will
become the Cloud Service Providers during this period.
With this trend, CCSIG themed the 2014 Executive Cloud
Forum as “Cloud Adoption: Value Creation, & business
transformation!”.
As CCSIG believes the Cloud Computing have already
drawn the public awareness, organisations have some
levels of trial and adoption in their business operation,or
daily life nowadays particularly over their smart mobile
devices. To enhance their understanding on the Cloud
adoption and make them fully aware on the possible
impacts on their business & across the industries, this
year CCSIG begins to put more emphasis to guide the
public/SMEs through seminars & training sessions in
knowing how to start the cloud, assess and evaluate
the Cloud procurement, and thus we also provide
some related emerging technologies introduction for
their better understanding; like the inter-relationships
of BI Analytics, Mobility, O2O and IoT with Cloud. We
focus our trainings on the logistics & retail (tourism)
businesses as they are two out of the four major pillars
of the Hong Kong economy, where most of them are
undergoing a certain level of business transformation
recently because of the emerging technologies.
Industry Events
