Data Governance Experience Sharing
It was our pleasure to have Mr. Damian Lum, Enterprise
Architect from HK Jockey Club to speak with us on the
Data Governance Experience Sharing on 18 September
2014 (7pm) in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Mr. Damian Lum has more that 20 years of Global IT
experience, have strong and deep understanding of
strategy and enterprise architecture, and have gone
through several transformational programs to drive
value change.
In this speaker session, Damian took a journey on
the importance of data. It forms the very existence of
organisations. Data needs to be managed in order to
harness value, thus allowing organisations to grow,
understand customers better, outperform competitors,
and being productive.
The seminar was well received with over 30 IT architects
and
managers.Wehad a fruitful interactive Q&A session
where Damian discussed with the audience on how to
adopt data governance into real life examples.

企業架構專題組於2014/15年度亦於PCM電腦廣場雜
誌發表了三篇文章：
我們很榮幸邀得香港賽馬會的企業架構師 Mr. Damian
Lum 於2014年9月18日下午七時在數據管理經驗 分享
會中與我們交流。Mr. Damian Lum有超過20年的全球
資訊科技經驗，深刻瞭解有關策略和企業架構，並經
歷過數次推動價值轉變的轉型計劃。
於是次講座上，Damian介紹了數據的重要性，即其為
機構存在的組成部分。數據須經過管理，才能發揮其
價值，從而容許機構增長，並更能瞭解客戶、壓倒競
爭者和增進生產力。
講座廣受逾30名資訊科技架構師和經理好評。我們進
行了饒有成果的問答環節，當中Damian與參與者談論
了如何於現實生活例子中採用數據管理。
