Chief Information Officer Board (CIOB)
資訊總監分部
Established in 2007, CIOB, as one of the HKCS important
value assets, continues to serve as a platform for a group
of CIOs / Heads of IT (HoITs) from major organisations in
Hong Kong to share experience and exchange insights.
2014-2015 was a fruitful and eventful year, with a
total of five regular meetings and three special events
successfully held (see Table). Among the five regular
meetings, some comprised informative presentations
and sharing (CITIC International Bank, OGCIO) while
others had incorporated tours of facilities (Cathay
Pacific, Hospital Authority and Hactl). All these have
spawned tremendous valuable ideas and quality
sharing surrounding many top agendas in IT strategic
management and innovation.
In July 2014, in view of the increasing importance of
Cyber Security, CIOB invited senior specialists from
various major local organisations, including MTRC, Hong
Kong Jockey Club, CLP & Airport Authority, to share their
challenges, best practices and outlook on future trends.
In November 2014 and January 2015, we were honoured
with the presence of Mr. Scott McNealy (Co-founder &
Former CEO of Sun Microsystems) and Mr. Wong Wai-
ming (EVP & CFO of Lenovo Group Ltd) as our guests of
two exclusive luncheons to share their insights under
the topics ‘Social media and where is it going?’ and ‘How
do China’s technology innovators disrupt the global
business landscape’. As always, CIOB members also
played an active role in HKCS organised events, such
as Hong Kong International Computer Conference 2014.
資訊總監分部於2007年成立，是香港電腦學會具價值
的重要資產之一，持續地作為來自香港主要機構的一
些資訊科技總監和資訊科技主管分享經驗和交換心得
的平台。
2014-15年度是成果豐碩和多姿多采的一年，一共成
功地舉辦了五次例會和三項特別活動（見表）。五次
例會中其中一些包括了知識性的演示和分享（中信國
際銀行、政府資訊科技總監辦公室），其餘的包括了
有關設施的導賞（國泰航空有限公司、醫院管理局和
香港空運貨站有限公司）。這些活動均帶來極具價值
的意念，以及環繞很多有關資訊科技策略管理和創新
議題的高質素分享。
2014年7月，有鑑於網上保安日益重要，資訊總監分
部邀請了多個大型本地機構，包括香港鐵路有限公
司、香港賽馬會、中華電力有限公司和機場管理局的
高級專家分享他們所遇到的挑戰、最佳應用方案和對
未來趨勢的看法。於2014年11月和2015年1月，我們
很榮幸邀請到Mr. Scott McNealy（Sun Microsystem
創辦人之一及前行政總裁）和黃偉明先生（聯想集團
行政副主席及財務長）作為兩次行政午餐會的嘉賓，
分享他們就有關「社交媒體何去何從？」和「中國科
技創新如何改造全球商業環境」題目的真知灼見。一
如以往，資訊總監分部成員在香港電腦學會舉辦的活
動，例如香港國際電腦會議2014中扮演積極參與的角
色。
