“ICT-as-a-Career” Toolkit and Career Talks
資訊及通訊科技人才培育計劃 – 職業推廣工具及講座
In 2012-13,with the support of Office of the Government
Chief Information Officer, HKCS has launched the “ICT-
as-a-Career” Toolkit and Career Talks, which is a series
of projects aiming at encouraging secondary and
university students to pursue ICT related subjects and
to join the ICT trade. The programme includes two parts
with the first part being a 110-minute-long video, which
has been prepared by over 40 renowned ICT experts and
leaders in the industry, while the second part consists of
career talks given in secondary schools and universities.
We have held more than 60 talks in different secondary
schools and tertiary institutes, reaching as many as
7000 students.
In 2014-15, we continue to host such talks to encourage
more students to make ICT as their careers. The main
topics include:
於2012-13年度，在政府資訊科技總監辦公室的支持
下，香港電腦學會開展了資訊及通訊科技人才培育計
劃 – 職業推廣工具及講座項目，旨在鼓勵中學生及
大學生修讀資訊及通訊科技相關科目，並投身資訊及
通訊科技行業。項目包括兩部分，第一部分為一段長
110分鐘的錄像，逾40位享負盛名的資訊及通訊科技
專家及商界領袖參與製作。第二部分為於中學及大學
舉辦的職業講座。我們在不同的中學及大專院校舉辦
超過60次講座，接觸學生多達7000人。
於2014-15年度，我們繼續主辦同類講座，以鼓勵更
多學生投身資訊及通訊科技界。講題重點包括：
Understanding ICT and it changes lifestyles and
business operation modes
ICT career choices and future; explanation of the
first comprehensive professional qualifications
standard framework – IT Professional Certification
Roadmap which is fully in line with the government’s
qualifications framework
Sharing of personal success from ICT experts and
business leaders
Sharing of ICT applications
How to choose profession and career that suit
individuals
