To increase public awareness of ICT industry’s
achievements, we resumed the “Outstanding ICT
Achiever Awards” in a number of categories, while a
new “Outstanding ICT Women Awards” will soon be
introduced as part of our efforts to raise the standing
of women in the profession. Outside of Hong Kong, we
remained a key player in the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance
(APICTA) Awards 2014 in Indonesia, and once again
outperformed others in terms of prizes received overall.
The Society also rendered strong support to the HKSAR
Government in promoting and progressing ICT industry.
HKCS was once again the proud organiser of the “Hong
Kong ICT Awards 2015: Best Business Solution Award”
to spur service innovation and excellence among local
companies and individuals. As mentioned earlier, six of
our SIGs helped organise a series of domain-specific
events for the International IT Fest 2015 in April, to
broaden our scope of learning and exchange with
experts from around and abroad.
Community engagement is an integral part of an all-
round professional, so we in HKCS are keen to be role
models for our members and the ICT community. One
such example was the Rehabus e-Track System Project,
a transportation services initiative led by the Hong
Kong Society of Rehabilitation and funded by Office
of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO),
where HKCS served as the ICT Advisor to enhance the
mobility of physically challenged individuals. HKCS
members also took part in the 22nd Green Power Hike
– ICT Cup co-organised with Green Power in February
2015 to raise funds for green education. We are proud
of our engagements in these meaningful initiatives,
and will further our participation in charitable and
voluntary events to foster the spirit of giving within the
ICT community.
為了提高公眾對資訊及通訊科技業成就的意識，我
們繼續籌辦多個組別的「傑出資訊及通訊科技成就
獎」，並即將會引進新的「傑出資訊及通訊科技女
性獎」，作為我們提高女性業內地位工作的一部
分。於境外，我們於在印尼舉行的「亞太資訊及通
訊科技聯盟大獎2014」中仍是主要的參與者，並且
繼續在整體獲獎數目上名列前茅。
學會亦大力支持香港特區政府推廣及促進資訊及通
訊科技業，有幸再度主辦「香港資訊及通訊科技獎
2015：最佳商業方案獎」，以突顯本地公司和個
體的服務創新和優越成就。正如前文提到，學會其
中六個專題組於4月舉行的「2015國際IT匯」中舉
辦了一系列特訂範疇的活動，以擴闊我們學習的範
圍，並與四周以至海外的專家進行交流。
社會參與是一個全面的專才不可或缺的一部分，因
此學會樂於成為會員和資訊及通訊科技業社群的楷
模。例子之一是由香港復康會發起並由政府資訊
科技總監辦公室撥款實行的交通服務舉措──復
康巴士「蹤跡易」，當中學會作為資訊及通訊科技
顧問，加強行動不便人士的流動性。學會成員亦於
2015年2月參與了與綠色力量合辦的「第22屆綠色
力量環島行──資訊及通訊科技盃」，為環保教育
籌款。我們很榮幸能夠參與這些有意義的活動，並
將會繼續參與慈善和義務活動，以加強資訊及通訊
科技業社群的付出精神。
