One of the most valuable assets of the Society is the
Special Interest Groups (SIGs). We have consolidated the
SIGs, from eleven to nine, to sharpen their focus on key
industries and new technologies. Some of SIG’s more
prominent events, such as the “Executive Cloud Forum
on Cloud Adoption – Values Creations & Business
Transformation” and the half-day seminar on “Enterprise
Architecture – Real-World Experience Sharing” late last
year, provided wonderful platforms for members and
specialists to share their knowledge and experiences in
the domains of their common interest.
Early this year HKCS introduced for the 1st time an
industry-focused SIG on Financial Technology (FinTech).
Shortly after its launch, both FinTech and Mobility SIGs
co-organised the “MoDev HK 2015” in April, as part of the
International IT Fest 2015 program championed by the
Hong Kong SAR Government. This day-long interactive
workshop brought together mobile application experts
and startup entrepreneurs to explore ways in which
new ICT solutions can change the financial industry
landscape. Following that event, the Mobility SIG
organised the “China-HongKong-Taiwan Hackathon
2015”, with the aim of encouraging creativity and
collaboration in mobile apps and games development.
學會其中一項最具價值的資產是轄下的專題組。我
們把十一個專題組整合到九個，使它們的焦點更為
集中於主要行業和新科技。某些專題組較為突出的
活動，例如「行政雲端論壇──採用雲端技術的價
值創造和業務轉型」和去年年底舉行主題為「企業
架構──2014年真實世界經驗分享」的半日座談
會，為會員和專家提供了絕佳的平台，分享在他們
共同感興趣的領域中的知識和經驗。
本年初，學會首次成立以行業為焦點的專題組──
金融科技專題組。成立不久，金融科技專題組已於
4月與流動專題組合辦「MoDev香港2015」，作為
香港特區政府鼎力支持的「國際IT匯2015」活動的
一部分。該項為時一整天的工作坊，把流動應用程
式專家和創業家凝聚起來，探討新的資訊及通訊科
技解決方案改變金融業環境的路向。此後，流動專
題組舉辦了「中港台編程馬拉松2015」，目的是推
動有關流動應用程式和遊戲發展的創意和合作。
