Ms Anita Gracie

Consultant

ICL United Kingdom

Anita is a consultant in the Marketing and Business Strategy Team within ICL's Government business. Her primary responsibility is the development of ICL's strategy for Governments outside the UK. She is also responsible for developing ICL's response to the UK Government's Better Government initiative.

Prior to this role she was Director of Business development, Metropolitan Areas, responsible for developing a new strand of business with cities and local regions across Europe, looking particularly at intra-city networks, Digital Cities and the emerging Information Society.

In these roles Anita has worked extensively with the European Commission looking particularly at the Fourth and now Fifth Framework Programmes for research and development in the Telematics sector.

For two years before this she ran ICL's business in the Utilities sector, at the time when the utility companies were making the transition from public sector bodies to establishing themselves in the private sector.

Prior to these roles Anita spent more than 25 years working in the government sector in a variety of roles including Director of ICL's Government business. During this period the UK Government went through a number of transformations including the Financial Management Initiative, Market Testing and latterly the Private Finance Initiative.

Anita has a degree in Computer Science and is married with three children. When not working she enjoys her family, reading, gardening and brushing up her French.
