"There is little doubt that Y2K has single-handedly catapulted the obscure discipline of Contingency Planning from within the depths of the IT Department on to the regular agenda of virtually every boardroom of every major corporation the world over. The retail food industry is certainly no exception. So just how well does the somewhat nebulous and anachronistic practice of Contingency Planning bear-up under the close scrutiny of the company's executive body?
