China Polar Expedition

Mount Everest, the Arctic and the Antarctic are known as the "three poles of the earth". These three poles represent the "Power of Whiteness". They control the atmosphere, ocean and weather. Early in the century, Chinese scientists had already started to research Tibet and the Himalayas. They started to research the Antarctic in the 1980's. In the 1990's they joined the Arctic research. Since one of the three poles is located in China, China will have a special position in the world of environmental research.
Key words: three poles of the earth
